Resurrecting a Monument

Via Tigellio 18 was not a home; it was a memory. When Lion Development acquired the site in late 2023, the legal deed described it as a "dilapidated ruin" (magazzino completamente diruto). The challenge was not renovation, but resurrection. We surgically removed the decayed interior while respecting the historic volume of Olbia's old town.

Inside the ancient footprint, we constructed a completely new structural skeleton. This allowed us to introduce modern spacing, thermal efficiency, and acoustic separation that is usually impossible in historic buildings.

Technical Scope

  • Preservation: Retention of historic volume and perimeter.
  • Reconstruction: New internal load-bearing structure.
  • Interiors: Bespoke joinery and CREO Kitchens.
  • Tech: High-speed fiber and Vikey access in a medieval setting.

Both. We preserved the historic volume and external aesthetics, but the internal structure is a completely new reinforced concrete skeleton completed in July 2025.
