Since we own every home we list, “spoof properties” are structurally excluded on Rental12. This guarantee focuses on the real market risk: payment interception, impersonation or fake payment requests. If you follow the rules below, you are protected up to € 10,000 per booking.
This guarantee applies only if all of the following were followed:
- Booking channel: the reservation was made on rental12.com or a clearly marked Rental12 affiliate website.
- Stripe by default: payments are handled via Stripe in our official checkout. We do not ask guests to pay by bank transfer.
- Bank transfer exception: only if the guest explicitly requests it, and only to bank details shown on rental12.com or inside the official booking confirmation.
- Official WhatsApp only: confirmations may be via WhatsApp only from +39 328 4555915.
- No unofficial instructions: never follow payment details from unknown numbers, forwarded messages, or lookalike emails.
- No cash, ever: we will never, ever accept cash payments.
What it protects against:
- Payment interception or impersonation intended to redirect you outside our official checkout or confirmed accounts.
